Ronald Stein

Ronald Stein (ur. 12 kwietnia 1930r -zm.  15 sierpnia 1988r) był amerykańskim kompozytorem filmowym. 

Urodzony w St. Louis w stanie Missouri Stein napisał muzykę do wielu niskobudżetowych horrorów i filmów eksploatacyjnych z lat pięćdziesiątych i sześćdziesiątych XX wieku, z których większość została wydana przez American International Pictures. Należą do nich It Conquered the World, Attack of the Crab Monsters, Invasion of the Saucer Men, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, Hot Rod Gang, The Premature Burial i The Haunted Palace. Napisał także muzykę do najważniejszych produkcji studyjnych, takich jak The Rain People Francisa Forda Coppoli i Getting Straight Richarda Rusha.  

Stein wykładał kompozycję na California State University w Northridge. Od połowy do końca lat 80-tych Stein wykładał także kompozycję, aranżację, orkiestrację i teorię na Uniwersytecie Kolorado w Denver. Jego piosenka „Pigs Go Home” została samplowana przez rapera Eminema w jego piosence „Guilty Conscience” z 1999 roku. Niektóre artykuły i partytury Steina, zwłaszcza do filmów Nie z tej ziemi oraz O miłości i pożądaniu, można znaleźć w archiwach Biblioteki Muzycznej Uniwersytetu Waszyngtońskiego w St. Louis. 

 Stein zmarł na raka trzustki w Los Angeles w Kalifornii w 1988 roku. Jego syn, Victor Warren (nazwisko rodowe, Victor Warren Stein), jest aktorem, scenarzystą, reżyserem i producentem prowadzącym własną firmę produkcyjną Glydascope inc w Los Angeles w Kalifornii.
