W 1963 r. Roe opublikował dwa single, które dotarły do Top 10: "The Folk Singer" i "Everybody". Kolejny, "Sweet Pea", także uplasował się w pierwszej dziesiątce i często gościł na antenie pirackich rozgłośni radiowych. Jego następca "Hooray For Hazel" zyskał podobną lokatę na liście bestsellerów. Największym jednak hitem była piosenka "Dizzy", która w 1969 r. osiągnęła szczyt zestawień po obu stronach Atlantyku.
Wokalista opublikował jeszcze dwa udane single "Heather Honey" i "Jam Up Jelly Tight", by w latach 70-tych skoncentrować się na karierze o lokalnym zasięgu, obejmującej występy w rodzinnym stanie.
