Parachute Records

Parachute Records została założona w 1977 r. przez założyciela 20th Century Fox Records i byłego weterana branży muzycznej  , Russa Regana, zaledwie o pięć budynków przy głównej siedzibie Casablanca Record & FilmWorks, której stało się filią. Oryginalna wytwórnia działała od 1977 do 1979 roku.

PolyGram, który był właścicielem i operatorem Casablanki i wszystkich jej spółek zależnych od czasu jej nabycia w 1980 roku, reaktywował Parachute w 1983 roku jako wytwórnię dla dzieci - pierwszą tego rodzaju w PolyGram (gdzie Russ Regan przeniósł się do pracy zamiast swojego stowarzyszenia Casablanca).

Dziecięca era Parachute była jeszcze bardziej krótkotrwała niż poprzednia era, a wytwórnia przeszła na emeryturę i ponownie została ponownie aktywowana w 1995 r. (z nowym logo) jako współczesny oddział Mercury Records. Jedynym znanym wykonawcą z tamtej epoki była Jane Kelly Williams, która wystąpiła w undergroundowym hicie „Show Me How To Catch A Fish”.
