Kenny Chesney

Kenny Chesney urodził się 26 marca 1968 roku w Knoxville w amerykańskim stanie Tennessee. Swoją pierwszą płytę nagrał jeszcze w college'u i wydał ją własnym sumptem. Na początku lat 90-tych zaczął zgłaszać się do profesjonalnych wydawców w Knoxville - początkowo bez większych sukcesów, aż w 1992 roku po przesłuchaniu w firmie Opryland Music Group zyskał swój pierwszy prawdziwy kontrakt.

Większe zainteresowanie wzbudził jednak dopiero jego singlowy kawałek pt. "The Tin Man", który dotarł do 70. miejsca na amerykańskiej liście Billboard's country (1994). Prawdziwa popularność zaczęła się natomiast w momencie podpisania kontraktu z wytwórnią RCA - jego pierwszy album wydany pod tą marką - "All I Need to Know" (1995) sprzedał się w 300 tys. egzemplarzy, a kolejne płyty - "Me and You" (1996), "I Will Stand" (1997) czy "Everywhere We Go" (1999) osiągały jeszcze lepsze wyniki, pokrywając się w Stanach złotem i platyną.

Jego album z największymi hitami z 2001 roku sprzedał się już w 3 milionach kopii. Potem muzyk wydał "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems" (2002), dzięki któremu znalazł się w pierwszej lidze muzyków country. W 2003 roku odbył trasę koncertową, która okazała się wielkim sukcesem.
Jego singiel "There Goes My Life" zawędrował na szczyt listy przebojów muzyki country pod koniec 2003 roku. Kilka miesięcy później, w 2004 roku, ukazał się album "When the Sun Goes Down", a w 2005 muzyk zaserwował powtórkę ze swojej twórczości na płycie pt. "Be As You Are: Songs From an Old Blue Chair".

W 2005 roku Chesney stał się tematem artykułów plotkarskich gazet na skutek niespodziewanego małżeństwa ze znaną aktorką Renée Zellweger i równie nagłego rozwodu po kilkumiesięcznym związku.

W listopadzie 2005 roku wydał album "The Road and the Radio".
Po sukcesach 2005 roku Kenny Chesney zajął trzecie miejsce na amerykańskiej liście najlepiej zarabiających muzyków.
