Albert Hammond
-ur. 18.05.1942r w Londynie,ale wychowywał się w Gibraltarze.Znany
szerokiej publiczności głównie za sprawą wielce popularnego hitu "It Never Rains in Southern California".W połowie lat 60-tych był liderem lokalnej grupy Diamond Boys,ale w 1966r przenosi się do W.Brytanii gdzie zakłada Family Dogg ze swoim przyjacielem Steve Rowlandem.
Mimo,że debiut zespołu w postaci albumu "Way of life" był wielce udany,to póżniejsze mniej udane produkcje grupy spowodowały jego odejście. Po krótkim epizodzie w Magic Lanterns,dzięki nagraniu "It Never Rains in Southern California" ruszyła jego kariera solowa.Singiel trafił do Top5 amerykańskiej listy przebojów w końcu 1972r.Rok póżniej wydaje album o tym samym tytule.Przez resztę dekady kontynuował nagrania solowe z dużym sukcesem komercyjnym,zdobywając uznanie jako wybitny kompozytor.Razem z Leo Sayerem w 1977r napisał hit "When I Need You" .Z Diane Warren,z którą często współpracował napisał dla Starship "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" i dla Chicago- "I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love".
Z Halem Davidem skomponował szlagier dla duetu Julio Iglesias/Willie Nelson -"To All the Girls I've Loved Before".
