Dickey Lee
prawdziwe nazwisko:Royden Dickey Lipscombe,ur. 21.09.1936r
Memphis/Tennessee.
uczelni [gdzie uprawiał boks i grał w futbol amerykański],gdzie grał w
trzyosobowej grupie Collegiates,która wygrała konkurs talentów
podczas jednych z wakacji.W 1957r spotyka Dewey'a Phillipsa,deejay'a z
wyprodukował Clement,i osiągnął on lepsze wyniki sprzedaży niż pierwszy
kontrakt z RCA i w 1971r nagrał "The Mahogany pulpit".Jego następny singiel "Never Ending Song of Love" trafia do Top10 listy country w końcu 1971r.Kontynuje działalność nagraniową w latach 70-tych umieszczając na listach dwa hity-"Rocky" i "9,999,999 Tears".
W RCA pracuje do 1978r,a następnie przenosi się do Mercury rok póżniej.Jego dwa najlepsze single dla tej wytwórni nagrane w latach 80-tych to:"Workin' My Way to Your Heart" i "Lost in Love".Ten drugi utwór to duet z Kathy Burdick,który stał się przebojem Air Supply w tym samym roku.Po wygaśnięciu kontraktu Lee kontynuje działalność kompozytorską i występuje w okazjonalnych show.
