Paul & Barry Ryan

Właśc. Paul i Barry Sapherson, ur. 24. 10. 1948 r. w Leeds, Anglia. Bracia bliźniacy, synowie popularnej piosenkarki Marion Ryan (żony impresaria Harolda Davidsona), zadebiutowali singlem „Don’t Bring Me Your Heartaches”, który w 1965 r. znalazł się w brytyjskiej Top 20. Dwa następne wydawnictwa, „Have Pity On The Boy” i „I Love Her” odniosły mniejszy sukces. 

Bracia odeszli od wcześniejszego stylu, nagrywając swoje wersje kompozycji The Hollies i Cata Stevensa: „Have You Ever Loved Somebody” (z 1966 r.) oraz „Keep It Out Of Sight” (z 1967 r.), jednak bez większego powodzenia. Ich drogi rozeszły się w 1968 r. Paul postanowił pisać piosenki, a Barry rozpoczął karierę solową. Wspólnie skomponowali utwór „Eloise”, który opublikowany na singlu przez Barry’ego, dotarł do 2. miejsca listy bestsellerów, a jego sprzedaż osiągnęła milion egzemplarzy. Kolejne single nie poszły jednak w ślady swojego poprzednika.

 Wśród kompozycji Paula znalazła się piosenka „I Will Drink The Wine”, nagrana przez Franka Sinatrę. Żadnemu z braci nie udało się potórzyć wcześniejszych sukcesów.
