John Wesley Ryles

 John Wesley Ryles (urodzony 2 grudnia 1950r) to amerykański artysta muzyki country. Ryles nagrał serię hitów country, poczynając od 1968 roku, kiedy był jeszcze nastolatkiem, i kontynuując przez lata 80-te. Nie nagrywa już jako główny artysta, ale pozostaje aktywny w przemyśle muzycznym jako muzyk sesyjny .

W wieku 17 lat zadebiutował w 1968 roku singlem „ Kay ”, który znalazł się w pierwszej dziesiątce list przebojów Billboard Hot Country Singles (obecnie Hot Country Songs ) oraz utworem tytułowym do jego debiutanckiego albumu dla Columbia Records . 

Później Ryles nagrał jeden album, Reconsider Me , dla wytwórni Plantation, który w utworze tytułowym wyprodukował singiel nr 39. Potem pojawiły się dwa nie-albumowe single, „Tell It Like It Is” i „When a Man Loves a Woman”, oba wydane przez wytwórnię Music Mill w 1976 roku. 

Następnie przeniósł się do Dot Records . Jego pierwszy singiel w ABC / Dot, „Fool”, uplasował się na 18 miejscu listy Hot Country, a następnie jego singiel z największym sukcesem - „Once in a Lifetime Thing” nr 5.  Kiedy ta wytwórnia połączyła się z MCA Records , wydał tam album Let the Night Begin . Pierwszy singiel „Liberated Woman” uplasował się na 14. miejscu listy Billboard Hot Country. Potem nastąpiło wykonanie utworu „ Always on My Mind” , który zajął 20 miejsce na liście Billboard Hot Country.   Ostatnia piosenka z tego albumu, „Perfect Strangers”, osiągnęła 24 miejsce na liście Billboard .

Potem pojawiły się dwa kolejne single, które ukazały się w wytwórni Primero: „We've Got to Start Meeting Like This” i „Just Once”, a następnie „She Took It Too Well” z 16th Avenue Records w 1984 roku.  Ostatnia wytwórnia, dla której nagrywał to Warner Bros. Records pomiędzy 1987 a 1988 rokiem. Mimo że dotarł do Top 20 z „Louisiana Rain” podczas pobytu w Warner, nie wydał albumu dla tej wytwórni. 

Od czasu wydania swojego ostatniego singla w 1988 roku, Ryles służył głównie jako wokalista w chórkach, śpiewając na płytach z Randym Travisem, Brooksem i Dunnem, Alanem Jacksonem, Rebą McEntire, Toby Keith, George'em Jonesem, Martiną McBride, Garth Brooksem innymi. Był głównym głosem w reklamach telewizyjnych i radiowych dla Wal-Mart, McDonald's, Sears, The American Dairy Association, Dollar General Stores i Coors Beer. Dodatkowo dodał chórki do reklam American Airlines, Ford Trucks, GMC Trucks, Dodge Trucks, General Electric i Applebee's. Jego głos można również usłyszeć w filmach Beverly Hillbillies, Honeymoon in Vegas, Hope Floats, Prince Of Egypt, Lawless, Babe: Pig In The City, Scooby Doo And The Witch's Ghost oraz Billy: The Early Years.
 

Ryles jest żonaty z Joni Lee Twitty, córką piosenkarza country Conway'a Twitty.
