W 1967 roku David Kapp sprzedał swoją wytwórnię MCA Inc., a wytwórnia została przekazana pod zarząd Uni Records ; Kapp został skonsolidowany z innymi wytwórniami MCA w 1971 roku, a w 1973 roku MCA Records wydała ostatnią płytę Kappa. Albumy katalogowe, które nadal się sprzedawały, zostały ponumerowane i ponownie wydane przez wytwórnię MCA.
Filie Kappa to m.in. Medallion Records ( wytwórnia audiofilska ), Congress Records , Leader Records i Four Corners Records z logo „4 Corners of the World”. Four Corners powstało w celu promowania europejskich artystów, takich jak Françoise Hardy , Raymond Lefèvre i The Barclay Singers.
Obecnie katalog Kapp Records jest własnością następcy MCA Universal Music Group poprzez jej spółkę zależną Geffen Records.
