Russ Morgan

Russ Morgan,to puzonista, lider bandu ,pianista i kompozytor urodzony 29 kwietnia 1904r w Scranton/Pennsylvania.

Wśród największych hitów maestra najbardziej znane to I've Got a Pocketful of Dreams z 1938, jego własna kompozycja So Tired z 1948 oraz Cruising down the River z 1949 - wszystkie typowe dla gatunku sweet music.

Należał on do repertuaru the Ames Brothers, którym na liście "Billboardu" powiodło się znacznie lepiej (3. pozycja wobec 10. miejsca orkiestry Morgana). Zaskakujące, że w 1958 orkiestra ta wystąpiła w rhythm'n'bluesowym filmie The Big Beat.
