„Evil Gal Blues”, „Salty Papa Blues”).
Pracując z Hamptonem, wytworzyła charakterystyczną stylistykę łączącą blues, przebojowy swing oraz ekspresyjny rhytm and blues (np. piosenki „Blow Top Blues”, „Told You Yes I Do”.)
Nawet przeciętna kompozycja i banalny tekst nabierały w jej interpretacji ciekawego wymiaru. Największe sukcesy odniosła utworami „ What A Difference A Day Makes” (8 miejsce na amerykańskiej liście przebojów w 1959) oraz „September In The Rain” (który w 1961r osiągnął 35. miejsce w Wielkiej Brytanii).
„Baby: You Got What It Takes”, „A Rockin’ Good Way: To Mess Around And Fall In Love”). Artystka nagrywała także z Clarkiem Terrym, Jimmym Clevelandem, Blue Mitchellem (np. „The Jazz Sides”), Quincym Jonesem.
