Wayne King (ur. 16 lutego 1901 r. - zm. 16 lipca 1985 r.) był amerykańskim muzykiem, kompozytorem, piosenkarzem i liderem orkiestry, od dawna związany z NBC i CBS . Na początku 1958 roku pojawił się jako gość pretendent w telewizyjnym programie To Tell The Truth . Wydał świąteczny album w Decca Records , Have Your a Merry Little Christmas , w 1963 roku. Orkiestra Kinga zagrała po raz ostatni w marcu 1983 roku w Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall w Sarasota na Florydzie . Wayne został uhonorowany w swoim rodzinnym mieście Savanna. W późniejszym życiu prowadził farmę bydła Black Angus i wypożyczalnię samochodów.
King zmarł w lipcu 1985 roku, a jego ciało zostało skremowane . Jego żona, aktorka filmu niemego , Dorothy Jones King (pseudonim Janis) trzymała ją przy sobie przez resztę życia po 53 latach małżeństwa. Zmarła 10 marca 2010 r. w wieku 98 lat.King miał dwoje dzieci, Wayne King II i Penelope King Pape. Ma gwiazdę na Hollywood Walk of Fame w kategorii Radio.
