The Hundred in the Hands

The Hundred in the Hands (czasami w skrócie THITH ) to amerykański duet muzyki elektronicznej z Brooklynu w Nowym Jorku , utworzony w 2008 roku.Zespół składa się z Eleanore Everdell (wokal, instrumenty klawiszowe) i Jason Friedman (gitara, programowanie) .

Zespół łączy synthpop z post-punkowymi i sennymi popowymi elementami,pod wpływem artystów takich jak Young Marble Giants , Wire , New Order , The Cure , De La Soul , Buddy Holly , Broadcast , Gang Gang Dance i LCD Soundsystem .
W 2007r wokalistka Holly Miranda przedstawiła Everdell Friedmanowi.  Everdell dołączyła do The Boggs jako członek trasy koncertowej. Oboje postanowili założyć zespół po tym, jak odkryli, że mają podobny gust muzyczny do wczesnego hip hopu , francuskiego house , disco , ska , dub , post-punk i innych gatunków.

Nagrali utwór "Dressed in Dresden" na Brooklynie, który został wydany online w grudniu 2008 roku. W marcu 2009 roku zespół wydał singiel "Dressed in Dresden" / "Undressed in Dresden" w wytwórni Pure Groove. Sukces tej piosenki doprowadził do zawarcia kontraktu z Warp Records w sierpniu 2009 r., którą Friedman nazywa "bliską mojej listy doskonałych wytwórni".Warp wydał 12 " singiel " Dressed in Dresden " w dniu 5 kwietnia 2009 roku.

Debiutancka   EP-ka duetu " This Desert" ukazała się 18 maja 2010 r., a następnie singiel "Pigeons" 13 września 2010 r. i "Commotion" / "Aggravation" 15 listopada 2010 r. Album The Hundred in the Hands został wydany 20 września 2010 roku przez Warp Records. Album otrzymał ogólnie przychylne recenzje.  Piosenka "Pigeons" pojawiła się w trzecim odcinku piątego sezonu Gossip Girl , "The Jewel of Denial", który został wyemitowany 10 października 2011 r.

Drugi studyjny album duetu, Red Night , został wydany 11 czerwca 2012 r.
Trzeci album " Love in the Black Stack" został wydany 15 czerwca 2017 roku przez New Ancestors.
