B-W Records

B-W Records została założona w 1961r przez Quentina "Reed" Welty'ego w jego rodzinnym mieście Wooster w stanie Ohio.Swoją nazwę zawdzięcza Welty i Danie Burns ,która pomagała mu w tworzeniu wytwórni,ale w póżniejszym czasie nie angażowała się w jej działalność.Wydała dwie serie;początkowo wydawane z czarnym labelem płyt szybko zrewidowanym na kompletnie inne logo,i inną numerację katalogową.
W tym czasie Welty zajmował się głównie własnym interesem związaną d działalnością edytorską.Druga seria płyt była wyprodukowana w Wheeling, Zachodnia Virginia ,siedzibie legendarnego radia country WWVA.Muzyka country stanowiła zresztą głowny repertuar wytwórni.
