Gretchen Wilson to amerykańska piosnekarka wykonująca muzykę contry i rock. Artystka zadebiutowała w 2004 roku singlem "Redneck Woman", dzięki któremu otrzymała nagrodę Grammy. W maju 2004 roku Gretchen Wilson wydała swój studyjny debiut zatytułowany - "Here for the Party".

Simple Plan

Simple Plan to zespół pochodzący z Kanady.W jego skład wchodzą: Pierre Bouvier (wokal), Chuck Comeau (perkusja), Jeff Stinco (gitara), Sebastien Lefebvre (gitara) oraz David Desrosiers (bass).

Początki kapeli sięgają połowy lat 90, kiedy to Chuck, Jeff i Sebastien, kumple ze szkoły średniej, postanowili założyć zespół. Do pełnego składu brakowało im wokalisty i basisty. W tym celu grupa przeprowadziła liczne castingi i przesłuchała wiele osób, ale nikogo nie wybrano. To właśnie wtedy

Chuck przypomniał sobie o dawnym znajomym z poprzedniej kapeli "Reset". Pierre, bo o nim mowa, zgodził się bez wachania, ale nie chciał grać na basie. Na szczęście zgłosił się wtedy David, który dodatkowo wzbogacił grupe o drugi głos. Gdy już zespół był w pełnym składzie, zabrano się za tworzenie muzyki i pisanie tekstów. Po ciężkiej pracy w roku 2001 ukazał się pierwszy singiel "Worst Day Ever", a niedługo potem debiutancka płyta "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls". Zespół od razu zyskał spore grono fanów i wyruszył w różne trasy koncertowe (Warped Tour, Edge Fest itd.).

W 2003 roku Simple Plan ponownie przypomniał o sobie nagrywając piosenkę "Don't wanna think about you" do filmu "Scooby-Doo". W październiku 2004 ukazała się ich kolejna płyta pt. "Still Not Getting Any...". Pod koniec 2005 ukazała się ich kolejna płyta nazwana "MTV Hard Rock Live".

Muzyka proponowana przez Simple Plan to duża dawka energii i dobrej zabawy połączone z poważnymi, pełnymi uczuć i przekazu tekstami o wspomnieniach z dzieciństwa, problemach i młodzieńczych rozterkach. Webster Gradney, Jr. (ur. 6 września 1985r), który występuje pod pseudonimem Webbie , to amerykański raper , autor tekstów i aktor z Baton Rouge w Luizjanie . W 2003 r. podpisał kontrakt z niezależną wytwórnią Trill Entertainment . W 2005 r. wszedł na scenę hip-hopową z „Gimme That” z udziałem Bun B. Jego piosenki „Bad Bitch” i „Swerve” były prezentowane na Gangsta Musik , jego albumie grupowym z Lil Boosie w 2003 roku, a także w filmie z 2005 roku Hustle & Flow . Drugi album Webbie, Savage Life 2 , został wydany na początku 2008 roku wraz z przebojowym singlem „ Independent ” z udziałem Lil Boosie i Lil Phat .

Webbie urodziła się w Baton Rouge w Luizjanie . Jako solowy utwór Webbie „ Give Me That ” z Bun B był często występował w mixtape'ach, jako wytwórnia Trill Entertainment zyskiwała na popularności i została podpisana na umowę dystrybucyjną z Asylum Records wraz z (Webbie). Po tym, jak został  podpisany kontrakt, jego debiutancki album Savage Life został wydany w 2005 r. debiutując na ósmym miejscu na liście Billboard 200 w USA.

Trill rozpocząła umowę o podpisanie umowy z Webbie z  wytwórnią Atlantic Records i odniósł sukces. Singiel z jego następnego albumu, Savage Life 2 , zawiera „ Independent ” z udziałem Boosie i Lil Phat . To jak dotąd najbardziej udana piosenka Webbie,  osiągając dziewiątą pozycję na liście Billboard Hot 100 . Webbie wydał trzeci album studyjny Savage Life 3 w dniu 15 listopada 2011 roku w Trill Ent. Pierwszym singlem z albumu był  „What's Happenin”. Album sprzedał się obecnie w ponad 50 000 egzemplarzy.

Czwarty album Webbie Savage Life 4 jest czwartym z serii albumów Savage Life . Pierwszy singiel z albumu „What I Do” został wydany 16 kwietnia 2013 r. Album został wydany 19 listopada 2013 r. 

W październiku 2010 roku nakręcił niezależny film biograficzny Ghetto Stories z Lil Boosie, oparty na jego życiu i lirycznych motywach.  Wystąpił także w filmie muzycznym „Video Girl” z udziałem aktorki Meagan Good .

George Strait

Prawdziwe nazwisko George Harvey Strait. Amerykański piosenkarz country. Określany jest mianem „Króla country”, przez wielu nazywany żywą legendą tego gatunku muzyki. Słynie z unikalnego charakteru swoich kompozycji. Otrzymał wiele nagród w prestiżowych konkursach country. Wydał 25 albumów studyjnych i 88 singli. 24 płyty pokryły się platyną. Piosenkarz udzielał się również kilkakrotnie jako aktor.

 

Urodził się 18 maja 1952 roku w Poteet w Teksasie. Dorastał w pobliskim miasteczku Pearsall. Muzyką interesował się już w najmłodszych latach. Grał w różnych zespołach. Z początku interesował się rock and rollem, z czasem jego preferencje zwróciły się ku country. Na szerokim rynku muzycznym George pojawił się na dobre w roku 1980. Wtedy wydał swój pierwszy singiel „Unwound”. Piosenka stała się hitem i została włączona do debiutanckiego albumu wokalisty - „Strait Country”, który na rynku muzycznym ukazał się w 1981 roku. „If You're Thinking You Want a Stranger (There's One Coming Home)” oraz „Down and Out” to tytuły singli promujących płytę. Nagrania zostały bardzo dobrze przyjęte przez krytyków, którzy mówią, że muzyk przełamał popowe tendencje, jakie w tych czasach panowały w muzyce country. Cały album został nagrany w tradycyjnych countrowych dźwiękach. W przypadku Straita można spokojnie mówić o dużym sukcesie debiutanckim. Na dzień dzisiejszy krążek pokryty jest platyną.
W roku 1983 piosenkarz pierwszy raz wystąpił na Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Te koncerty stały się jednym z nieodłącznych elementów kariery muzyka. Wystąpił tam 20 razy, w sumie grał dla milionowej publiczności.

W latach 1983 - 1990 piosenkarz wydał osiem albumów, w tym dwie składanki z największymi hitami. W 1986 roku piosenkarza spotkała tragedia. Jego trzynastoletnia córka Jenifer zginęła w wyniku potrącenia przez samochód. To dramatyczne wydarzenie nie przeszkodziło George’owi wydać następnych jedenastu hitów zaczynając od „Nobody in His Right Mind Would've Left Her” (1986), „Ocean Front Property” (1987) czy w końcu „Beyond the Blue Neon” (1989). Swojej zmarłej córce artysta zadedykował piosenki - „All My Ex's Live in Teras”, „Famous Last Words of a Fool” oraz „Baby Blue”.

Na zakończenie dekady artysta został uhonorowany nagrodą od Academy of Country Music.
Pomiędzy latami 80. a 90. piosenki George’a dominowały na listach przebojów, a płyty pokrywały się na przemian złotem i platyną.

Kolejną dekadę artysta rozpoczął od wydania swojej dziesiątej płyty, zatytułowanej „Livin' It Up”.
W 1992 roku zagrał główną rolę w filmie „Pure Country”, a także stworzył do niego ścieżkę dźwiękową. Jak się okazało - był to najlepszy album wokalisty. Znalazły się na nim takie hity jak „Heartland”, „I Cross My Hart” oraz „When Did You Stop Loving Me”. Płyta w efekcie końcowym w USA pokryła się mutiplatyną.

Lata 1990 - 2000 przyniosły piosenkarzowi kolejne duże przeboje, a co za tym idzie prestiżowe wyróżnienia i nagrody w takich kategoriach jak - Najlepszy Wokalista Roku, Najlepszy Album, czy też Najlepsza Taneczną Piosenka.
W 1997 roku odbyła się pierwsza edycja George Strait Country Music Festival. Przez kolejne lata na deskach przewinęli się tacy artyści, jak choćby Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney i Alan Jackson.

George zakończył dekadę wydaniem albumu „Always Never the Same” (1999). Krytycy mieli bardzo umiarkowane zdanie na temat tej płyty. Jednak fanom wokalisty przypadła bardzo do gustu. A efektem tego było pokrycie się albumu platyną.

Jesień 2000 roku nie była dla artysty do końca szczęśliwa. Wtedy właśnie piosenkarz wydał płytę „George Strait”. Znalazło się na nim kilka wielkich przebojów, zebrał pozytywne recenzje, ale był do pierwszy album w karierze artysty, który nie osiągnął platynowego statutu.

W latach 2000 - 2009 piosenkarz wydał w sumie siedem albumów studyjnych. Wszystkie były nagrane w stylu country. Większość z nich otrzymała też bardzo pozytywne recenzje od krytyków muzycznych.
Ostatnią, jak dotąd, wydana płytą jest „Troubadour” z 2008 roku. Krążek został bardzo pozytywnie przyjęty, co w konsekwencji pokryło go platyną.
W lipcu 2009 roku George Strait otrzymał wyróżnienie od Akademii Muzyki Country w kategorii Artysta Dekady.
11 sierpnia 2009 roku na rynek muzyczny trafił najnowszy album artysty, zatytułowany „Twang”.

Ludacris

Ludacris, czyli Christopher Bridges, urodził się w miejscowości Champaign w amerykańskim Illinois 11 września 1977 roku. Jego rodzice byli wtedy jeszcze na studiach i po urodzeniu dziecka nie zrezygnowali z uroków życia studenckiego. Ludacris już w wieku trzech lat był zabierany na młodzieżowe imprezy, gdzie poznawał muzykę przynoszoną przez zapraszanych gości.


Tańczący na środku pokoju szkrab był maskotką tych spotkań. Od dziecka otoczony muzyką, stopniowo nią przesiąkał, stawała się pasją jego życia. W wieku 12 lat dołączył do działającej w Chicago grupy hiphopowej Loudmouth Hooligans. Niedługo potem cała rodzina Chrisa przeniosła się do Atlanty w stanie Georgia. Podczas nauki w tamtejszej Banneker High School imponował kolegom umiejętnościami szybkiego składania rymów, często wdawał się w organizowane na poczekaniu pojedynki młodych raperów popisujących się talentem. Sukcesy w takich spontanicznych konkursach skłoniły go do potraktowania kariery rapera bardziej serio i ściągnęły go ze złej drogi, bo młody Chris często wchodził w konflikt z prawem, głównie przez drobne kradzieże. Z czasem zaczął brać udział w pokazach młodych talentów, występował też w lokalnych klubach.

Po skończeniu szkoły średniej udało mu się zdobyć pracę w radiu Hot 97,5, grającym głównie hip-hop i R&B. Początkowo pracował przy produkcji nocnych audycji. Gdy jego szefowie poznali jego umiejętności rapowania, zaproponowano mu nagranie kilku dżingli muzycznych promujących stację, dzięki czemu głos młodego rapera stał się rozpoznawalny. Studiował też zarządzanie w muzyce na Uniwersytecie Stanowym, jednak rzucił naukę po pierwszym roku. W końcu dostał posadę prezentera radiowego, pojawiał się na antenie jako DJ Chris Lova Lova, zdobywając nawet sporą popularność. W ten sposób usłyszał o nim Timbaland, który przygotowywał właśnie debiutancką płytę. To właśnie na "Tim's Bio: Life from da Bassment" młody raper już jako Ludacris nagrał pierwszy utwór - "Fat Rabbit". Pseudonim wybrał opierając się na swojej ekstrawaganckiej osobowości, którą sam nazywał śmieszną i niedorzeczną (ang. ludicrous - niedorzeczny, absurdalny)

Głodny większych sukcesów, Ludacris starał się podpisać kontrakt, który umożliwi mu wydanie własnej płyty. Jednak żadna z wytwórni nie była zainteresowana debiutantem z Atlanty. Wobec tego Ludacris wspólnie ze swoim menedżerem Chaka Zulu założyli własną firmę Disturbing Tha Peace. Za własne pieniądze wydali nagrany w 1998 roku pierwszy album rapera, "Incognegro", który sprzedał się w nakładzie 300 tysięcy egzemplarzy. Udało mu się jednak zwrócić na siebie uwagę bossów przemysłu muzycznego.

Ludacris podpisał wymarzony kontrakt z wytwórnią Def Jam. Pod jej szyldem w 2000 roku wydał kolejny longplay, "Back for the First Time". Był on w zasadzie drugą wersją "Incognegro", jako że większość utworów pochodziła właśnie z tej płyty. Dopiero następny krążek, "Word of Mouf" przyniósł zupełnie nowy materiał, a dzięki singlom "Rollout (My Business)" i "Saturday (Oooh Oooh)" młody muzyk zaczął już zbliżać się do czołówki najpopularniejszych raperów w Stanach.

W 2002 roku Ludacris wystąpił w reklamie Pepsi. Spotkało się to ze sprzeciwem pewnych środowisk, których reprezentantem był publicysta Bill O'Reilly. Zarzucał on producentowi napoju promowanie swoich produktów, skierowanych głównie do dzieci i młodzieży, z wykorzystaniem osoby, która otwarcie przyznawała się do gangsterskiej przeszłości i w tekstach epatowała seksem i wulgaryzmami. Dziennikarz nawoływał nawet do bojkotu firmy, jeżeli ta nie rozwiąże umowy z muzykiem. Pepsi w końcu ugięła się pod presją i rozstała z Ludacrisem. Wywołało to nowy skandal, kiedy jeden z założycieli wytwórni Def Jam, Russell Simmons oskarżył spożywczego giganta o rasizm i hipokryzję, jako że napój reklamowali także Osbourne'owie, rodzina znana z wulgarności i obrazoburczości. Cała sprawa zakończyła się wypłaceniem przez Pepsi odszkodowania, które trafiło na konto kilku fundacji charytatywnych. Ludacris nawiązał do tych wydarzeń w utworze "Blow It Out" ze swojego czwartego albumu "Chicken-n-Beer".

Oprócz kariery muzycznej, Ludacris stara się także rozwijać talent aktorski. Na ekranie pojawił się już w 2001 roku w filmie "The Wash" obok takich gwiazd rapu, jak Dr. Dre i Snoop Dogg. Trzy lata później wystąpił w uhonorowanym Oscarem dla najlepszego filmu obrazie "Miasto gniewu" ("Crash"). Można go było oglądać także w filmie Guya Ritchie "RocknRolla" i w adaptacji gry komputerowej "Max Payne".

Artysta zaangażowany jest w działalność charytatywną. Po sukcesie płyty "Back for the First Time" wspólnie z Chaka Zulu założył The Ludacris Foundation, która skupia się na pomocy uzdolnionym artystycznie dzieciom. Raper jest także właścicielem kilku restauracji podających dania kuchni Dalekiego Wschodu.

W 2004 roku Ludacris zdobył międzynarodową sławę dzięki udziałowi w nagraniu przeboju Ushera "Yeah!". Utwór przyniósł mu pierwszą nagrodę Grammy. Następne otrzymał już tylko za własną pracę - 3 lata później zdobył te statuetki w kategoriach najlepszy utwór rap za "Money Maker" oraz najlepszy album rap za "Release Therapy". To właśnie tą płytą wywołał największe kontrowersje wśród fanów. Od początku kariery prezentował raczej beztroski, chwalący rozrzutny tryb życia styl. Na tym albumie jednak pokazał się z poważniejszej strony, po raz pierwszy dotykając w swoich tekstach ważnych problemów społecznych. Również muzyka była inna, bardziej dojrzała i mroczna. Ta zmiana stylistyki spowodowała mnożenie się dyskusji, czy "Release Therapy" jest najlepszą czy też najgorszą płytą Ludacrisa.

W listopadzie 2008 roku światło dzienne ujrzał krążek "Theater of the Mind". Okładka płyty, przedstawiająca Ludacrisa w 18 wcieleniach na kinowej widowni, jest hołdem dla funkowej grupy Sly and The Family Stone i jej płycie "Life". Na lato 2009 roku zapowiedziano kolejną płytę artysty, "Battle of the Sexes", nagraną w duecie z raperką Shawnną.

W latach 2011-2015 trwały prace nad albumem pt. Ludaversal. Premiera tytułu odbyła się 11 września 2012, lecz płyta ukazała się dopiero 31 marca 2015.
