(saksofon, flet, instrumenty klawiszowe, śpiew) i Dona Fagensona (bas, instrumenty klawiszowe, gitara), którzy do własnych studyjnych pomysłów pozyskali liczne grono solistów (Sweat Pea Atkinson, Leonard Cohen, Harry Bowens i Donny Ray Mitchell).
brzemieniowej wykorzystano m.in. poddane obróbce przemówienie Ronalda
Reagana. Na logplayu Born to Laugh at Tornadoes rapowaniu Ozzy'ego Osbourne'a towarzyszyły motywy Franka Sinatry.
Największymi przebojami singlowymi były "Walk The Dinosaur" (6 tygodni na szczycie listy amerykańskiej) i Spy In The House Of Love, ale renomę zdobyło jako producenci nagrań innych artystów (B-52, Iggy Pop, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan). W 1990 longplay Are You Okay? zyskał przychylne recenzje, a duet umocnił swoją enigmatyczną pozycję na obrzeżach muzyki tanecznej.
