Miały swój własny show w radio KHJ i regularnie występowały w David Broekman's California Melodies i the Crockett Family of Kentucky.
Again".
To stwarza jej warunki do nagrania pierwszej solowej płyty-"Little Man with a Candy Cigar."
przeboje,"You Belong to Me", "Timtayshun" ,
"Whispering Hope" ( z Gordonem MacRae ), "Shrimp Boats", "Make Love to Me", "Jambalaya".
W latach 50-tych duży rozgłos międzynarodowy przynoszą jej własne
radiowe show minn. w Voice Of America i Radio Luxemburg.W 1952r notuje
udane występy w londyńskim Palladium dla słuchaczy Voice Of America.W
Luxemburg -Franka Lee.To on powiedział-"...moim celem jest sprzedaż
Stafford Europie".
Wraz z nadejściem telewizji Jo występuje we wszystkich ważniejszych variety show,a nawet dorobiła się własnego programu Jo Stafford Show dla CBS.W 1961 roku wraz z rodziną wyjeżdża do Londynu nagrywając program dla ATV British Network,w którym gościnnie występowali Bob Hope,Ella Fitzgerald i Peter Sellers.Był on póżniej pokazywany w Australii,Nowej Zelandii i Kanadzie.Kiedy rodzina zmusiła ją do ograniczenia publicznych występów,ogranicza działalność do nagrań dla Capitol,Dot i Readers Digest Records a także przygotowuje albumy o religijnym charakterze dla Corinthian i World Library of Sacred Music.
