Score Records

Idąc za przykładem Modern Records, który wprowadził udaną linię budżetowych albumów dla wytwórni Crown, bracia Mesner, właściciele Aladdin Records, w 1957 roku założyli budżetową linię płyt LP, używając ich starej nazwy ich oddziału, Score. Wszystkie albumy Score kosztowały 1,98 $, a większość albumów Aladdin, Jazz: West, Orfeo i Intro została wznowiona w Score.

Utworzenie wytwórni Score może tłumaczyć niedobór 12-calowych albumów Aladdin i Intro, ponieważ były one tłoczone tylko przez krótki czas, zanim zostały usunięte i ponownie wydane w Score. W rzeczywistości kilka zamierzonych wydań Aladdin mogło w ogóle nie zostać wydanych przed przeniesieniem do Score. Podczas gdy etykieta Crown kwitła, linia płyt długogrających Score wydawała się umierać powolną śmiercią.

Na Score udostępniono naprawdę świetną muzykę, która nigdy wcześniej nie ukazała się na albumach, jak np. „Go Blow Your Horn” Louisa Jordana and His Tympany 5, Score 4007 i „Milky White Way” zespołu The Trumpeteers, Score 4021.
