Aaron Neville

Ur. 24.01.1941 w Nowym Orleanie w stanie Luizjana (USA). Debiutował w grupie Hawkettes, w której występował też jego starszy brat Art. Temat „Over You” (1960) cieszył się umiarkowaną popularnością, ale wielkim przebojem było „Tell It Like It Is” z 1966r. Prosta, ale urzekająca ballada łączyła wokalne predospozycje wykonawcy z wyrażanym nie nachalnie przesłaniem ruchu Black Power.

Niestety, założona przez Neville’a własna wytwórnia Par-Lo zbankrutowała i wokalista nie byl w stanie powtórzyć sukcesu. W 1978r po rozpadnięciu się Meters do Aarona dołączyli bracia Art, Cyril i Charles, tworząc Neville Family Band (nazwę skrócono wkrótce do Neville Brothers). Aaron kontynuował równolegle solową karierę, a w 1989 wypromował w duecie z Lindą Ronstadt przebój „Don’t Know Much”.
