Lance Records

Wytwórnia Lance Records powstała jako mała niezależna wytwórnia w Albuquerque w stanie Nowy Meksyk/USA w połowie lat 60-tych.Pomimo tego miała duży udział w edycji hitów w regionie tj. Płd Zachodzie Stanów Zjednoczonych.Została założona przez członka grupy King Richard and the Knights,Dicka Stewarta.The Knights byli instrumentalnym,gitarowym zespołem powstałym na fali popularności innych gitarowych combo jak:The Ventures, The Fireballs .

Nazwa wytwórni pochodzi od tytułu wydawanego w Albuquerque pisma Lance.Szczególnie aktywnym dla wytwórni był okres 1966-1967,gdy wydała wiele singli [bez albumów],więcej niż którakolwiek z wytwórni w Nowym Meksyku w tym czasie.

Wpływ muzyki soul i brytyjskiej inwazji rocka odcisnął się na produkcjach zespołów nagrywających ówcześnie dla Lance:Doc Rand and the Purple Blues, The Sheltons, Fe-Fi-Four Plus 2, The Kreeg, i The Lincoln Street Exit .Mimo aktywnej działalności wytwórnia nie przynosiła zysków co stało się powodem jej zamknięcia w styczniu 1968r.W 1998r doszło do reaktywacji Lance Records głownie za sprawą internetu i możliwości sprzedaży płyt ta drogą.
