Kindercore Records jest niezależną wytwórnią płytową z siedzibą w Athens, Georgia, która została założona w 1996 roku przez Ryana Lewisa i Daniela Gellera dokumentująca wschodzącą scenę muzyczną w Athens.
Jej pierwszym wydawnictwem była kompilacja wydana na kasecie "The Treble Revolution", która sprzedała się w ciągu tygodnia. Z tego wydawnictwa pochodził pierwszy singiel Kindercore w winylu autorstwa Kincaid. Kolejne single zawierały nagrania The Mendoza Line, Masters of the Hemisphere i innych. Chociaż Kindercore był uważany przez wielu za wytwórnię "indiepop", szybko dodał do swego repertuaru hip-hop pod wpływem Kitty Craft (pierwszy Top 10 Kindercore w radio uczelnianym), wraz z alt-country za sprawą grupy instrumentalnej, Japancakes.

W 2002 roku umowa Kindercore z Emperor Norton dobiegła końca, a Kindercore zawarła nową umowę z Telegraph Company. Geller i Lewis postanowili, że chcą poszerzyć brzmienie Kindercore poprzez podpisanie kontraktów z nowymi artystami, które odzwierciedliły by ich ewoluujące gusty .
Należą do nich Maserati, Jet By Day, i Paper Lions.Związek między Telegraph i Kindercore zakończył się nagle w październiku 2003 r. serią sprzecznych informacji prasowych o losach spółki, na przemian wydawanych przez Stana Hartmana i Jeroda Gunsberga.Doniesienia prasowe spowodowały wiele zamieszania w niezależnej społeczności muzycznej, i szybko wyszło na jaw, że Geller i Lewis miał niewielką kontrolę nad spółką ,którą założyli. Lewis i Geller podjęli kroki prawne i odzyskali kontrolę nad katalogiem Kindercore.
Lewis i Geller nadal mieszkają w Athens. Lewis jest felietonistą Athens Banner Herald. Geller kontynuuje pracę z zespołem I Am The World Trade Center i pracuje jako badacz na University of Georgia.
