Sybil Thomas-Lynch -ur.2.06.1965r New Jersey,jest popularną amerykańską wokalistką rhythm'n'bluesową i popową ,znaną jako Sybil.Pracowała z Ce Ce Rogers w Ce Ce & Company przed podpisaniem kontraktu płytowego z Next Plateau.

 

Sybil rozpoczęła karierę nagraniową od 1986r,a zyskała popularność dzięki coverom piosenek Dionne Warwick-"Don't Make Me Over" i "Walk On By",wydanym w 1989 i 1990r.Oba nagrania odniosły sukces na brytyjskiej liście bestsellerów singlowych.Po podpisaniu kontraktu z teamem kompozytorsko-producenckim Stock Aitken Waterman,odniosła jeszcze większe sukcesy i zyskała ogromną popularność w W.Brytanii.
 

W 1993r miała dwa duże przeboje,własną wersję hitu Harolda Melvina & The Bluenotes-"The Love I Lost",i "When I'm Good And Ready" autorstwa Mike'a Stocka i Petera Watermana.Jej najpopularniejszy album wydany w tym samym roku,Good n Ready trafił na 12 pozycję UK Albums Chart.Dużą popularnością w Japonii i Filipinach cieszył się singiel "Make It Easy on Me" ,który osiągnął szczyty list przebojów w tych krajach.
 

Żelazną część repertuaru Sybil stanowiły covery i standarty,a jej kariera ewoluowała ku muzyce dance z elementami soulu.Ostatni singiel wydała w 2006r.Współpracowała z Ultra Nate i innymi producentami w wytwórni Deep Sugar Music .
 

W sierpniu 2008r nagrywa singiel "Shining Star",który stał się popularnym przebojem w Stanach Zjednoczonych.
