Twista-właśc. Carl Terrell Mitchell (ur. 27.11.1973 Chicago, IL).
Najszybszy raper świata. Dorastał w K-Town w Chicago. Rapował już jako 12-latek, ale zanim zaczął profesjonalną karierę, pracował w fabryce, restauracji, sprzedawał buty, był ochroniarzem, a nawet fryzjerem.

W 1991 r. podpisał kontrakt z Loud i jako Tung Twista wydał LP Runnin' off at da Mouth. Dissował go Treach (NAUGHTY BY NATURE) na LP 19-naughty-3(US#3,UK#40). W odpowiedzi D2ThaS nagrał 12" Dissin These Fools, a Twista LP Suicide, który nigdy się nie ukazał. W 1992 r. Twista ustanowił rekord Guinessa wypluwając z siebie 598 sylab w ciągu 1 minuty. 6 lat później jego rekord pobił Rebel XD - 683 syllab ciągu 54.501 sekund.

 W 1996 r. Twista, John P i DO OR DIE nagrali singla Po pimp/Promise (US#22), który zdobył platynę, a rok później Still po' pimpin (US#62). Po złotym LP Adrenaline Rush (US#77) i singlach Emotions (US#101) i Get It Wet (US#96) nagrał z The Speedknot Mobstaz złoty LP Mobstability (US#34) z singlem In your world (US#101), oraz Whatuon (US#87) z Latanyą i Peace of mind (US#50) z DARKSIDE BALLAZ. W 1999 raper założył własną wytwórnię Legit Ballin' i wydał kompilacje: Legit Ballin' w 1999 i Legit Ballin' Vol. 2: Street Scriptures w 2001.

W 2004 r. nagrał dla Atlantic platynowy LP Kamikaze (US#1,UK#19) z hitem Slow Jamz (US#1,UK#3) -dziełem Jamie Foxa i Kanye Westa, oraz Overnight Celebrity (US#6,UK#16), So Sexy (US#25,UK#28) i Sunshine (US#3) z samplem Billa Withersa ,Lovely Days (US#30, UK#7). Twista reprezentuje MC, którzy mają skillsy, a nie nagrywają tylko muzykę. Chcę pokazać ulicy, że wróciłem i jestem prawdziwy w tej grze.
W 2005 r. wydał LP The Day After i singla Hope (US#31 ,UK#25) z Faith Evans.
