Mark Rae - Rae & Christian i szef wytwórni Grand Central w jednej osobie. Pochodzący z Manchesteru artysta zyskał duże uznanie jako członek formacji Rae & Christian - duetu, którego wielbicielom brzmień downtempo, funky i soulu nie trzeba przedstawiać. Na początku lat 90. znudzony otaczającą go muzyką, postanowił założyć wytwórnię płytową. Grand Central okazała się strzałem w dziesiątkę i szybko zyskała uznanie na całym świecie... Rae & Christian to duet,który tworzą Mark Rae,didżej i,producent i założyciel wytwórni Grand Central Records oraz znany producent Steve Christian.Ich muzyka klsyfikowana jest jako hip hop z elementami funky i soul charakterystyczna dla takich artystów jak The Jungle Brothers, Jeru The Damaja and The Pharcyde.
W 1995r Mark Roe zrealizował swoje odwieczne marzenie,założył własną wytwórnię płytową w rodzinnym mieście-Grand Central.W tym samym czasie rozpoczął współpracę z geniuszem techniki,Steve Christianem z którym nagrywali własne płyty i zajmowali się produkcją i remiksami dla wielu uznanych artystów.Ich pierwsze spotkanie miało miejsce podczas prób w Ducie House,gdzie Christian dawał do zrozumienia ,że muzyka Roe jest już niemodna.
