Kenny Loggins

Wokalista amerykański, ur. 7.01.1948 w Everett w stanie Waszyngton. Po raz pierwszy zwrócił na siebie uwagę, występując w latach 1972-77 w duecie Loggins And Messina.
 Po rozstaniu z partnerem rozpoczął karierę solową, specjalizując się w nastrojowych balladach rockowych. Jedną z nich była "Whenever I Call You Friend", napisana wspólnie z Melissą Manchester. W nagraniu wspomogła Kenny'ego Stevie Nicks (wokalistka grupy Fleetwood Mac). Kompozycja trafiła w 1978 do Top 10 amerykańskiej listy.
Podobny sukces odniósł utwór "This Is It". Loggins był również współautorem superprzeboju The Doobie Brothers "What A Fool Believes". W 1982 wraz z wokalistą Journey Steve'em Perrym nagrał utwór "Don't Fight It".
W latach 80. artysta zyskał sławę jako autor ilustracji muzycznych i wykonawca tematów przewodnich modnych filmów akcji. Pierwszym z sukcesów odniesionych na tym polu był pochodzący z 1980 utwór "I'm ALLright" (z filmu "Caddyshack" ) i wielki przebój "Footloose" z obrazu pod tym samym tytułem (1984).
Największym dokonaniem Logginsa-kompozytora muzyki filmowej była ścieżka dźwiękowa do "Top Gun" (reż. Tony Scott, 1986). Oprócz napisania kilku piosenek wykorzystanych w filmie, osobiście zarejestrował superprzebój "Danger Zone". Na ścieżce do "Caddyshack II" znalazł się kolejny przeój Logginsa "Nobody's Fool". W 1991 spory sukces odniósł singel "Convictions Of The Heart".
