Peabo Bryson to amerykański piosenkarz,producent muzyczny, tancerz, kompozytor, klawiszowiec, a także dwukrotny zdobywca nagrody Grammy, która został nagrodzony w 1992 roku za wykonanie utworu "Piękna i Bestia" z Celine Dion, oraz w 1993 roku za "A Whole New World" z Reginą Belle. Peabo Bryson urodził się 13 kwietnia 1951 roku w Greenville.Artysta znany jest przede wszystkim jako piosenkarz wykonujący soft-rockowe ballady i często występujący w towarzystwie znanych wokalistek. Bryson dorastał na farmie swojego dziadka w Mauldin, w Południwej Karolinie. Miłość do muzyki wykształciła w artyście matka, która często zabierała rodzinę na koncerty takich gwiazd jak: Sam Cooke, Little Richard czy Billie Holiday.
Peabo debiutował na scenie w wieku 14 lat - wspomagał wokalnie Ala Freemana i zespół The Upsetters. Dwa lata później artysta współpracował z Moses Dillard and the Textile Display. Przełom w karierze piosenkarza nastąpił jednak dopiero po tym jak podpisał kontrakt z Bang Records; Peabo przypadł do gustu szefowi wytwórni, Eddiemu Biscoe.
