John Schneider

Ur. 8.04.1954 w Mount Kisco, Westchester Country w stanie Nowy Jork (USA). Utalentowany instrumentalista i aktor, debiutował jako nastolatek w telewizyjnych serialach („The Dukes Of Hazzard") o ciężkim życiu farmerskiej rodziny. Trafił też na longplay promujący serial, a w 1981 przemknął przez listy popowych przebojów z wersją „It's Now Or Never” Elvisa Presleya.

Jako jedyny umiejący śpiewać mały gwiazdor, zdobył popularność w prowincjonalnych radiostacjach, ale prezenterzy zrezygnowali z jego usług. Schneider odwdzięczył im się w 1984 piosenką „I've Been Around Enough To Know”, nagraną pod pseudonimem George Strait, lansowaną przez nic nie podejrzewających wrogów. Autor ujawnił się, gdy płyta trafiła na szczyt list country, a kontynuacją sukcesu były single „ Country Girls", „What’s A Memory Like You (Doing In A Love Like This)” i „Doing The Last I Needed Tonight”.
W przeciwieństwie do większości gwiazd country, Schneider unikał tras koncertowych, a sukces singla „Love, You Ain’t Seen The Last Of Me” zaskoczył go, gdy postanowił zmienić strategię. W 1990 przypomniał się w popularnym serialem „Grand Siam”.
