Dolton Records

 Dolton Records -wytwórnia powstała w 1959 roku początkowo jako Dolphin Rec w Seattle.Pierwsza płyta wypuszczona była z symbolem ryby co miało nawiązywać do nazwy wytwórni.Zmienia szybko nazwę na Dolton,w związku z prawami innej wytwórni do używania tej nazwy.Już pierwsze wydawnictwo singiel grupy The Fleetwoods-"Come softly to me", był wielkim hitem.
Wytwórnia wyłuskiwała lokalne talenty z Seattle i okolic w postaci takich artystów jak The Ventures,The Frantics czy Little Bill and The Bluenotes.Wszyscy ci artyści razem z założycielem wytwórni Bonnie Guitar trafiali na listy przebojów ze swoimi pierwszymi nagraniami.Był to ogromny sukces wytwórni.

Pierwsze osiem albumów wydanych przez Dolton są sygnowane nazwami tylko dwóch artystów:The Fleetwoods i The Ventures.Z wyjątkiem kilku pierwszych pozycji ,większość nagrań wydawana była w wersji stereo.W 1960r Bonnie Guitar-główny producent i autor piosenek wytwórni opuszcza ją razem z Jerry Dennonem,zajmującym się promocją w firmie i razem zakładają Jerden Records,również mającej siedzibę w Seattle.
Dystrybucją płyt od początku 1960r zajmowała się Liberty,tak ,że w końcu Dolton Rec stał się filią tej ostatniej i przeniósł swą siedzibę do Los Angeles.Ostatecznie w 1967r Liberty wchłonęła Dolton,ale pozostawiła tradycyjną numerację płyt długogrających dla The Ventures i Vic Dana.W końcu Liberty została sprzedana United Artists i wszystkie albumy artystów należących do Dolton wydawane były już z sygnaturą UA.
