Wytwórnia płytowa założona w Silver Spring w stanie Maryland (USA) przez miłośników wiejskiego bluesa, małżeństwo Gene'a (ur. 16.01.1943 w Kansas City w stanie Missouri) i Carol Rosenthal. Na jej pierwszych albumach, wydawanych od początku lat 70-tych antologiach Really Chicago's Blues, Things Have Changed Really, The Memphis Blues Again znalazły się nagrania dokonane w 1969r w różnych regionach USA, w Chicago, Memphis, Delcie Missisipi i St. Louis.
Ukazały się też płyty "Little Brother" Montgomery'ego, Furry'ego Lewisa, Gusa Cannona i Bukki White'a oraz białych gitarzystów Roya Book Bindera, Paula Geremii i Chrisa Smithera.
Adelphi wydała również nagrania zespołów Catfish Hodge'a, Roya Buchanana (jako Butch And The Snakestreetchers), The Nighthawks, oraz kompaktowe reedycje "Mississippi Johna" Hurta, Furry'ego Lewisa, "Skipa" Jamesa, Rev. Roberta Wiikinsa i Hacksaw Harneya.
